Waraba’s First Display Village Offers a Glimpse Into a Future Community

For anyone imagining a fresh start in Queensland’s southeast, Waraba is no longer just a name on a planning map. In Lilywood, the city’s first suburb, the new Lilywood Landings Display Village is bringing that vision into focus — showing future residents what life could look like in a place built to grow with them. Rows of newly finished homes, tree-lined streets, and the first signs of neighbourhood life hint at the community that will take shape here in the decades ahead.

Building a Home in a Growing City

When the display village opens on Saturday, 25 October, it will mark a turning point in the story of Waraba, a long-term project set to deliver 30,000 homes and become home to around 70,000 people. Formerly known as Caboolture West, the development aims to be more than just a housing estate. It’s designed to become a thriving city with schools, parks, sports fields, and a bustling town centre.

Already, the interest is clear. Since the first land release in mid-2024, about 250 lots in Lilywood Landings have been sold, and families are starting to settle into their new streets. This first display village is a chance for prospective residents to see beyond the construction and envision the kind of community Waraba hopes to become: welcoming, connected, and built for the long term.

Homes Designed for Real Lives

Across the display village, 31 homes will eventually be open for exploration, each offering different possibilities for how a family might live and grow here. Designs from trusted Australian builders — including Brighton Homes, Burbank, Dare Homes, Glenvill Homes, Integrale Homes, McLachlan Homes, Metricon Homes, Neptune Homes, Orbit Homes, Roonsleigh Construction, Simonds Homes and Zoom Constructions — show a variety of layouts and features suited to different stages of life.

Additional homes from builders such as Arcadia Homes, Creation Homes, Hudson Homes, Kiba Built, NuTrend Homes and Ultra Living Homes will be added soon, expanding the choices available to new residents. Representatives from Lennium Group, the developer behind Lilywood Landings, described the display village as an important step in helping people understand the quality and character of life that Waraba aims to offer.

Master Builders Queensland, which worked alongside Lennium on the project, noted that the homes reflect both thoughtful design and functional living — from spaces built for quiet family moments to open layouts made for entertaining.

A Place to Put Down Roots

For those thinking about a move, Waraba offers a chance to be part of a community from the very beginning. As the city grows, future residents will see schools and parks rise alongside homes, and neighbourhoods evolve from plans into lived-in places.

Lilywood Landings is the first step in that journey, and the display village is an invitation to imagine what life here could be. Whether it’s a young family looking for space to grow, a couple planning their first home, or anyone seeking a fresh start in a new city, Waraba is beginning to take shape as a place where people can build their future together.

The display village is open Saturday to Wednesday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Merryvale Circuit, Lilywood. Visitors can explore the homes, meet with builders, and learn more about the project at lilywoodlandings.com.au/display-village.
